Sharon Lanier (she/her/hers) is a bridge-builder deeply committed to creating sustainable collaborations that deliver people-focused opportunities. She has over a decade of experience building relationships with key community and financial supporters within local, national, and international corporations. Her work in the nonprofit field focuses on creating social partnerships that address the disparities faced by marginalized populations. Those efforts include a range of activities, including mission fundraising, advocacy, programmatic service delivery, changing socio-cultural perceptions, and actions seeking to change the social welfare system altogether.
Sharon sincerely believes that when conventional approaches to complex problems have proven ineffective, organizations must think systemically to create sustainable social change. To that end, she has helped develop partnerships that connect funding with program delivery and political action, all in the name of dismantling traditional barriers that prohibit thriving communities. Her love of people and collective effort has given her deep experience in facilitating capacity building training for nonprofit public sector groups and program implementation from conceptualization to execution.
In her role with Community Collaboratives, Sharon helps public servants sharpen their skills, assess their impact, and create alliances that go from transactional to transformational while increasing their organization resources.
